Ukraine: Responders deployed to support volunteers close to front line

The team consists of REACT International Operations Manager Paul Taylor and five volunteer Responders. They are travelling to areas close to the frontline including Nikopol and Marhanets to deliver vital incident management training. Made up entirely of armed forces veterans, the team includes a GP, a paramedic and Responders with specialist training in trauma medicine techniques. The potentially lifesaving training will provide practical skills, including how to manage a catastrophic bleed. People attending the sessions will include local volunteers and organisations who live and work close to the contact line. This response is in partnership with global medical assistance provider MedResQ.
