Whilst some of our REACT Responders have been supporting communities in Morocco, another group of 20 volunteer REACT Responders successfully completed their International Operations training course at Chilmark HQ last weekend.

Participants were put through their paces through a series of intensive and challenging scenarios, designed to test their abilities in high-pressure situations. Supported by a team of existing International Responders, they completed the specialist training, which enables them to volunteer for international deployments.

Our volunteer Responders receive intensive training that enables them to react rapidly to emergencies and disasters both here in the UK and internationally. Examples of our UK work include assisting in flooded areas, welfare checks on individuals following power outages after storms, or helping to support the NHS during periods of unusual pressure. Our international work can involve helping people affected by earthquakes or tsunamis, getting aid to people in hard-to-reach places, enabling people to access clean drinking water and much more.
