James Coates
Trustee
James is a Director in PwC's Consulting business, focusing on technology-enabled transformation and operational effectiveness within central government clients across national security, crisis management and conflict. Before that, he was a Senior Policy Advisor in the UK's National Security Secretariat in the Cabinet Office and served in the Parachute Regiment for 19 years. This included command of 3 PARA in Afghanistan and crisis management roles in the MOD and the UK's Joint Force Headquarters. He is an experienced REACT Responder with recent deployments across the UK and Middle East bringing a wealth of experience in leadership development and organisational excellence, bridging the gap between strategy and successful operational delivery.
Nick Wills
Trustee
Nick Wills is a REACT Trustee with over 30 years of military experience, including roles in tank operations and protected vehicle procurement in Afghanistan. For the past decade, he has run a consultancy focused on the defence industry. Nick is the Chairman and Trustee of a charitable trust that supports veterans, young adults, and East African causes. He also chaired the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team and has been a Trustee for multiple charities, including the Royal Lancers. An active REACT Responder for over five years, Nick has deployed both domestically and internationally.
General Sir Nick Parker

GENERAL SIR NICK PARKER | CHAIRMAN
General Sir Nick Parker left the UK Army in May 2013. His last appointment was as Commander in Chief Land Forces when he was responsible for the highly effective military reaction to the venue security crisis at the London 2012 Olympics. His operational military experience includes service in the Balkans, Sierra Leone, Iraq, Northern Ireland and Afghanistan when he worked in an international coalition as the deputy to US Generals McChrystal and Petraeus.
Since leaving the Army, Sir Nick has reviewed the senior structure of the Police Service, and has mentored senior executives in the extraction, transport, human resources, elite sport and legal sectors. He chairs a number of start-up companies and has worked with academics at Oxford University on an initiative to improve Global Human Development.
In the charitable sector he has chaired the Prince of Wales’ Step Up To Serve Campaign and was on the Board of Directors of the first Invictus Games. He established RE:ACT in 2015 (as Team Rubicon UK) and has been Chairman since its inception.
Kate Holt

KATE HOLT | TRUSTEE
Initially trained in the BBC television newsroom, Kate Holt is an acclaimed photojournalist and media trainer, focusing on humanitarian emergencies and conflicts. Kate has extensively documented the experiences of refugees and the effects of war and poverty, particularly on women and children, in countries such as Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Liberia, Somalia, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
She has worked with UNICEF, Care International, the International Committee of the Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières and the UN, and is regularly featured by major UK and international media outlets.
Marie Manley

MARIE MANLEY | TRUSTEE
Marie is an experienced lawyer qualified to practise in England & Wales, New York and Ireland. Marie specialises in advising Life Sciences companies on the EU and UK regulatory legal framework, including the optimisation of IP regulatory rights, and competition law. She also represents companies in proceedings before both national and European courts as well as regulatory agencies in the UK (MHRA and NICE) and across Europe (before the European Commission or the EMA); as well as coordinating multi-jurisdictional litigation throughout the EU/EEA and overseas. Marie has previously worked in Switzerland, New York and Brussels and she is fluent in English, French and Spanish and has a working knowledge of German, Italian and Catalan.
Nadine Nohr

NADINE NOHR | TRUSTEE
Nadine has worked in international programme distribution and investment for the last 30 years and with some of the world’s leading media organisations, heading international programme distribution for ITV PLC and the Shine Group. Since 2015 she has run her own independent media consultancy providing strategic and commercial advice to producers, broadcasters, platforms and distributors from independent to more established groups in order to drive growth and create change.
As well as involvement in various coaching and mentoring programmes Nadine is an accredited mediator and qualified yoga instructor. She has been involved in the voluntary sector since 2008 chairing the board of Everychild, an international child rights charity and currently a board trustee and Chair of the Ethics and People Committee of Care International UK, a major international humanitarian agency.
Noland Carter

NOLAND CARTER | TRUSTEE
Noland worked in the investment management industry for more than 38 years and was most recently Head of Handelsbanken Asset Management and its Chief Investment Officer. Previous to this he was CEO, UK Wealth Management at Rothschild & Co and CEO, Investment Services and Global Chief Investment Officer at Barclays Wealth. He is currently a non-executive director of T. Bailey Asset Management and a member of the board of Trustees for Moorfields Eye Charity and The Freshfield Foundation.
Richard Wilson

RICHARD WILSON | TRUSTEE
Richard Wilson served for 11 years in the Army, retiring as a Major in the Scots Guards in 1978. He then spent 16 years in the City in investment banking with Salomon Brothers International and Saudi International Bank where he was Chief Executive Officer for four years. For the last 25 years he has acted as a trustee for a variety of charities including Scots Guards Charitable Funds and Independence at Home.
