JOB OPPORTUNITY: 

HR AND RECRUITMENT OFFICER (6 MONTH FTC)

Due to rapid growth of the RE:ACT Group, particularly the trading arm RE:SILIENT, this is a newly created position for a HR Generalist to join a small and friendly team.  

RE:ACT is a humanitarian organisation that rapidly responds to disasters and emergencies in the UK and overseas, deploying our highly trained RE:ACT Response Teams as soon as disaster strikes. RE:SILIENT is the trading subsidiary of RE:ACT Disaster Response charity.   All profits from the trading arm go directly to RE:ACT. 

Working from the head office in Chilmark, near Salisbury, in a lovely rural location, the successful candidate will be working closely with the HR Manager, and the HR Director, in support of delivering an agile, effective HR service across the group.  We are also currently recruiting a HR Assistant. 

The role will be key in recruiting for our commercial contracts as well as the wider organisation, responding to day-to-day employee relations issues in a prompt and efficient manner whilst playing a key role in ensuring the fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures. They will also be instrumental in embedding the RE:ACT Group culture across both parts of the organisation, ensuring a ‘one organisation’ mindset with our values at the forefront of everything they do. 

You will:

  • Receive a competitive salary

  • Have up-to-date working knowledge and application experience of employment legislation and HR best practice 
  • Excellent IT skills – MS Suite, Google Suite, Google Forms (desirable), HR programmes & resourcing told 
  • Be a strong communicator with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation and foster strong working relationships 
  • Be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, a can-do attitude and a problem solver who is not afraid to ‘lean in’ and help 
  • Experience of managing HR projects

LOCATION: 
Chilmark, Salisbury, Wiltshire

SALARY: Circa £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience

HOURS: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
